Originally incorporated as Cardcorp Ltd in 1996 to specialise in aspects of credit cards and their security, the Company changed its name to Crimeproofing Ltd in 1998 to reflect a growing and more diverse range of activities specialising in commercial fraud and particularly intellectual property protection.

In 2003 Crimeproofing Ltd acquired the business known as Hampshire Legal Services in order to further expand and offer a complete range of professional Intelligence and Investigation services.

2006 saw the addition of protective products to this range focusing exclusively on eco-friendly items.

The company’s CEO, Ray Parry, is one of the few specialists on a worldwide basis in full spectrum Brand Protection (Proactive/Reactive Intelligence & Investigation and Deterrent/Detection Protective Products).

He has worked with a large number of legal, financial, and other business organisations, governmental law enforcement and commercial intelligence and investigation agencies, both in Europe and the United States, on a variety of counterfeiting, fraud and forgery matters including Insider Theft, Insurance Investigation, Money Laundering, Cheque Fraud, Card Recovery, Tracing (Assets & Individuals), Document Protection/Questioned Document verification and IP/Brand Protection of apparel, sports equipment, aircraft and vehicle parts, wines and spirits, pharmaceuticals and imaging consumables as well as significant sections of the high-tech industry and also with many suppliers in the development of effective protective product solutions.

Notably he is currently IP Protection/Enforcement Agent to several English Football Association Premier League Clubs; was Editor of Brand & Product Protection magazine and is currently Editor-in-Chief of the website counterfeit.com; was nominated as Investigator of the Year by the ABI for his work on counterfeit aircraft parts and has published numerous articles on various aspects of intellectual property protection and associated topics. He sits on the UK Patent Office’s working committee developing the government’s anti-counterfeiting initiatives “Counter Offensive – an IP Crime Strategy” and is a Member of the UK Fraud Advisory Panel. He is also a graduate of Leeds College of Commerce (what is now Leeds Metropolitan University) in Business Studies, a Certified Fraud Examiner as a Member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, a member of the UK-Process Servers Association(http://www.uk-psa.org), a duly vetted and examined Member of The Association of British Investigators and is Licensed with the OFT for Debt Collection and Credit Referencing.
